ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,348,009, issued on July 1, was assigned to GE AVIATION SYSTEMS LLC (Grand Rapids, Mich.).

"Power overlay architecture" was invented by Liqiang Yang (Pompano Beach, Fla.), Richard Anthony Eddins (Margate, Fla.), Robert Lloyd George (Delray Beach, Fla.) and Darrell Lee Grimes (Boca Raton, Fla.).
