"Dianthus plant named 'G19159'" was invented by Richard A. Grazzini (Columbus, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Dianthus plant named 'G19159' is disclosed, characterized by large bright magenta flowers with rounded, overlapping petals. Healthy mid-green foliage exhibits good field tolerance to common Dianthus pathogens. The new variety is a Dianthus, normally used for outdoor ornamental purposes."

The patent was filed on Oct. 24, 2024, under Application No. 18/925,753.
