ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,539,121, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to G.I. Windows Inc. (Westwood, Mass.).
"Anastomosis device with sensor for extracorporeal sensing and manipulation" was invented by Brian P. Tinkham (Scituate, Mass.), Dane T. Seddon (Boston), Michael Boutillette (Sudbury, Mass.), David Karasek (Waukesha, Wis.) and Jonathan P. Boduch (Quincy, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides systems, devices, and methods for the delivery, deployment, and positioning of magnetic compression devices at a desired site so as to improve the accuracy of anastomoses creation between tissues, organs, or the like."
