ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,471,251, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Fujikura Ltd. (Tokyo).
"Optical transceiver" was invented by Mohammad Shahed Ahamed (Tokyo), Yuji Saito (Tokyo), Akihiro Takamiya (Tokyo) and Tsuyoshi Ogawa (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An optical transceiver includes a case including a heat sink, one or more heat generating bodies disposed in the case, one or more heat conducting portions protruding from an inner wall surface of the case and thermally contacting the one or more heat generating bodies, and a heat pipe that transfers heat from the one or more heat conducting portions to the heat sink."
