ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,260,960, issued on March 25, was assigned to FUJIFILM Corp. (Tokyo).

"Medical image processing apparatus, method, and program" was invented by Takuya Fuchigami (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A division unit divides an axisymmetric structure in a medical image including the structure into a plurality of predetermined regions. A reference line derivation unit derives a reference line of the structure on the basis of the plurality of divided regions."
