ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,497,228, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. (Tokyo).
"Corner protector" was invented by Keigo Yamada (Kanagawa, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A corner protector includes two surface portions having a rectangular shape and interposing a bent portion extending parallel to one side; a notch reaching the bent portion from one side of at least one surface portion of the two surface portions; and a folding line reaching one side of the other surface portion from a terminal end of the notch."
