According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "To provide a trimming device with which it is possible to suppress the deterioration of shape quality after trimming a cylindrical workpiece. When trimming is performed by means of a core metal cutting edge (33f) and a tool cutting edge (31f) upon moving at least one of a core metal punch (33) and a trimming tool (31A), gaps (H1, H2) are formed between the core metal punch (33) and a workpiece (W).
