ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,539,283, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to FRESENIUS KABI USA LLC (Lake Zurich, Ill.).
"Epinephrine liquid formulations" was invented by Chaoju Xiao (Melrose Park, Ill.) and Karen Liu (Melrose Park, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides a stable, pharmaceutical formulation comprising epinephrine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The formulation includes an organic acid, a tonicity agent, and water, has a pH of about 3.0 to about 3.6, and is substantially free of a conjugate base of the organic acid."
The patent was filed on Jan. 17, 2025, under Application No. 19/029,026.
