ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,410,868, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Fox Factory Inc. (Duluth, Ga.).
"Rotary flow control valve that requires no linear motion" was invented by Joshua Coaplen (Asheville, N.C.), William O. Brown IV (Aptos, Calif.), Thomas Pollock (Fletcher, N.C.) and Christopher Otterness (Asheville, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A rotary flow control valve that requires no linear motion is disclosed. The rotary flow control valve comprises a drive mechanism and a rotary flow control valve coupled with the drive mechanism, wherein the rotary flow control valve is rotated by the drive mechanism without requiring conversion of a linear motion...
