ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,739, issued on June 17, was assigned to Fox Factory Inc. (Duluth, Ga.).

"Non-uniform steerer tube or fork leg" was invented by William O. Brown IV (Hendersonville, N.C.), Daniel McCormick (Santa Cruz, Calif.), Joshua Coaplen (Asheville, N.C.) and Christopher Otterness (Asheville, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fork assembly including a steerer tube and a crown, wherein the steerer tube is fixedly aligned to the crown in a predefined orientation at a time of manufacture."

The patent was filed on Sept. 18, 2023, under Application No. 18/369,356.
