US Patent Issued to FOREST RIVER BUS on July 29 for "Retrofittable frame for a vehicle" (Michigan Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,370,097, issued on July 29, was assigned to FOREST RIVER BUS LLC (Goshen, Ind.).

"Retrofittable frame for a vehicle" was invented by David Brown (Northville, Mich.) and James Ronald (Commerce Township, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A vehicle door assembly in a vehicle having a body-in-white, the body-in-white having a rear wheel well, the vehicle door assembly comprising a door frame, the door frame having an aperture therein, the frame extending into the rear wheel-well."

The patent was filed on Aug. 19, 2022, under Application No. 17/821,031.
