ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,467,762, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Ford Global Technologies LLC (Dearborn, Mich.).
"Vehicle HMI actuation" was invented by Stuart C. Salter (White Lake, Mich.), Brendan Francis Diamond (Naples, Fla.), Keith Weston (Canton, Mich.) and Kendra White (Ann Arbor, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system comprises a computer having a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor to determine a wakeup time for an occupant of a vehicle based on a destination and an object in an interior of the vehicle, and actuate a vehicle component to awaken the occupant."
