ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,499,980, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Fontem Ventures B.V. (Amsterdam).
"System for collecting and transmitting smoker data" was invented by Ramon Alarcon (Los Gatos, Calif.) and Dennis Christopher Howard (Summerfield, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and device for collecting and delivering smoker statistics to an external storage device that accurately describe a smoker's smoking habits."
