ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,527,564, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to Flow Retractor AB (Gothenburg, Sweden).
"Surgical retractor" was invented by Leila Shirazi (Gothenburg, Sweden).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A surgical retractor comprises an even number of at least four fixed-angle corner members coupled in telescopic manner, each second corner member being of female configuration and adjoining two corner members of male configuration, wherein opposite sides of the surgical retractor run mutually in parallel with each other."
The patent was filed on Oct. 29, 2022, under Application No. 18/286,247.
