ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. PP36,744, issued on June 17, was assigned to Florida Foundation Seed Producers Inc. (Marianna, Fla.).

"Mandarin plant named 'RES 19-56'" was invented by Frederick Gmitter Jr. (Lakeland, Fla.).
