US Patent Issued to Flamel Ireland on March 25 for "Modified release gamma-hydroxybutyrate formulations having improved pharmacokinetics" (French Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,223, issued on March 25, was assigned to Flamel Ireland Ltd. (Dublin).

"Modified release gamma-hydroxybutyrate formulations having improved pharmacokinetics" was invented by Claire Megret (Lyons, France), Herve Guillard (Villeurbanne, France) and Jean-Francois Dubuisson (Lyons, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Modified release formulations of gamma-hydroxybutyrate having improved dissolution and pharmacokinetic properties are provided, and therapeutic uses thereof."
