ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,249,664, issued on March 11, was assigned to First Solar Inc. (Tempe, Ariz.).
"Transparent conducting layers and photovoltaic devices including the same" was invented by James Becker (Perrysburg, Ohio), Mark Hendryx (Perrysburg, Ohio), William Huber (Ottawa Hills, Ohio), Jason Kephart (San Jose, Calif.), Andrei Los (Perrysburg, Ohio) and Wei Zhang (San Jose, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Photovoltaic devices having transparent contact layers are described herein."
The patent was filed on Sept. 21, 2021, under Application No. 18/027,584.
