ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,295,393, issued on May 13, was assigned to Firmenich SA (Satigny, Switzerland).
"Flavored articles having a reduced pH" was invented by Dattatreya Banavara (Plainsboro, N.J.), Ronald Skiff (Plainsboro, N.J.) and Priti Jha (Plainsboro, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The various aspects presented herein relate to the use of cyclohexanecarboxylic acids in flavored articles to improve the taste profile of the flavored article."
The patent was filed on March 21, 2019, under Application No. 16/954,424.
