ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,086, issued on May 13, was assigned to Fenwal Inc. (Lake Zurich, Ill.).

"Systems and methods for processing large volumes of biological fluid" was invented by Christopher J. Wegener (Libertyville, Ill.), Steven C. Binninger (Evanston, Ill.), Alaina Schlinker (Chicago) and Bret Olson (Evanston, Ill.).
