ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,253,552, issued on March 18, was assigned to Faraday Defense Corp. (Kalamazoo, Mich.).

"Apparatus for detection of electrical disturbances resulting from electromagnetic pulse" was invented by Arthur Thomas Bradley (Chesapeake, Va.) and Jason R DeVries (Kalamazoo, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus detects an E3 phase and E1 and E2 phases of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP).
