According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bracket for mounting a light includes a horizontal surrounding body and an associated vertical mounting base. The surrounding body has a light-supporting aperture defined therein. A string slot is defined in the surrounding body on opposite sides of the light-supporting aperture. The surrounding body is associated with the mounting base such that sides of the mounting base extend beyond sides of the surrounding body."
