ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,340,667, issued on June 24, was assigned to Evolon Technology Inc. (Dallas).

"Mitigating effects caused by fast moving objects in a scene" was invented by Shannon Scott (White Rock, N.M.) and Steven Schramm (Valley, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present application describes a system and method for mitigating false alarms caused by fast moving objects in a scene."

The patent was filed on Sept. 20, 2021, under Application No. 17/479,351.
