ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,521,966, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to Essilor International (Charenton-le-Pont, France).

"2K pu-dual cure adhesive for lamination" was invented by Ronald A. Berzon (Dallas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are a two-component polyurethane adhesive and a dual cure polyurethane-based adhesive for use in laminated films. The adhesives are particularly useful for producing photochromic and clear-to-polarized laminates for ophthalmic lens applications."

The patent was filed on Sept. 17, 2020, under Application No. 17/761,280.
