ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,423,537, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to ESAB AB (Gothenburg, Sweden).
"Marked consumable reading" was invented by Johan Lindberg (Gothenburg, Sweden) and Jan Zachrisson (Nodinge, Sweden).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Techniques for automatic reading of marked consumables are disclosed. The techniques involve a reader having a plurality of sensors for receiving a marked consumable and detecting includes markings on the consumable, regardless of the orientation of the consumable to the reader."
The patent was filed on March 8, 2024, under Application No. 18/600,105.
