US Patent Issued to ERICO International on Feb. 10 for "Connection system for concrete sections" (Ohio Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,546,129, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to ERICO International Corp. (Solon, Ohio).

"Connection system for concrete sections" was invented by Steven McDaniel (Burton, Ohio), Anirudha Vaidya (Solon, Ohio) and Samuel Barker (Solon, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A column shoe assembly can include a shoe body that defines an internal cavity with a rear wall. A lower rod opening can open into the internal cavity and defines a connection axis. An access opening can open into the internal cavity on an opposite side of the connection axis from the rear wall. A thickened rim can extend along a perimeter of the access opening."
