ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,283,606, issued on April 22, was assigned to EPISTAR Corp. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

"Light-emitting device" was invented by Chao-Hsing Chen (Hsinchu, Taiwan), I-Lun Ma (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Bo-Jiun Hu (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Yu-Ling Lin (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Chien-Chih Liao (Hsinchu, Taiwan).
