ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,442,031, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Enzo Biochem Inc. (Farmingdale, N.Y.).

"DNA labeling compositions and methods for comparative genomic hybridization" was invented by Praveen Pande (Holbrook, N.Y.), Jack Coleman (East Northport, N.Y.) and Christian Merz (Hicksville, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides compositions and methods for preparing high-quality labeled DNA for use in array-based comparative genomic hybridization in amounts sufficient therefor starting with a low amount of input genomic DNA, such as 50-250 nanograms input genomic DNA."
