ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,105, issued on June 17, was assigned to ENTEGRIS INC. (Billerica, Mass.).

"Self-locking manifold and filter" was invented by Kobold Yang (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Han Yi Wang (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Bob Shie (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Hee Jun Yang (Songpa-gu, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A filter that is self-locking to a filter manifold includes a flange having a major axis and a minor axis in plan view, and that is longer along the major axis than the minor axis.
