US Patent Issued to Enphase Energy on Sept. 30 for "Microinverters for photovoltaic applications" (New Zealander Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,431,731, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Enphase Energy Inc. (Petaluma, Calif.).

"Microinverters for photovoltaic applications" was invented by Daniel John O'Neill (Christchurch, New Zealand) and Bonny Antony (Canterbury, New Zealand).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for predicting an available power in an energy management system is provided herein and comprises querying a power conditioning unit (PCU) connected to a load in the energy management system for power conditioning unit (PCU) data, receiving the power conditioning unit (PCU) data from the power conditioning unit (PCU) at a controller of the energy management system...
