ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,438,181, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Enevate Corp. (Irvine, Calif.).

"Functional aliphatic and/or aromatic amine compounds or derivatives as electrolyte additives to reduce gas generation in Li-ion batteries" was invented by Liwen Ji (San Diego) and Benjamin Park (Mission Viejo, Calif.).
