ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,233,185, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to Embody Inc. (Norfolk, Va.).

"Microfluidic extrusion" was invented by Michael P. Francis (Norfolk, Va.), Stella Petrova (Blacksburg, Va.) and Nicholas Thayer (Morrisville, N.C.).
