According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of treating a subject having glaucoma comprises performing excimer laser trabeculostomy (ELT) on a subject having glaucoma and having previously undergone a failed treatment or a treatment that has been rendered ineffective by progression of the disease.
