ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,993, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Eli Lilly and Co. (Indianapolis).

"Anti-alpha-synuclein antibodies and uses thereof" was invented by Johnny Eugene Croy (Indianapolis), Mansuo Lu Hayashi (Indianapolis), Jirong Lu (Indianapolis), Bo Ma (Indianapolis) and Ying Tang (Indianapolis).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to anti-alpha-synuclein antibodies, and uses thereof for treating diseases such as Parkinson's disease."
