ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,277, issued on May 27, was assigned to Element Six (UK) Ltd. (Great Britain) and Seco Tools AB (Sweden).
"Polycrystalline cubic boron nitride material" was invented by Rebecka Lindvall (Lund, Sweden), Antionette Can (Oxfordshire, Great Britain), Rachid M'Saoubi (Fagersta, Sweden), Filip Ernst Lenrick (Kaevlinge, Sweden), Volodymyr Bushlya (Lund, Sweden) and Jan-Eric Staahl (Lund, Sweden).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This disclosure relates to a high cBN content polycrystalline cubic boron nitride, PCBN, material. The binder matrix material comprises 19 to 50 wt. % chromium, or a compound thereof."
