ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,929, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Element Biosciences Inc. (San Diego).

"Polymerase-nucleotide conjugates for sequencing by trapping" was invented by Matthew Kellinger (San Diego), Michael Previte (San Diego), Molly He (San Diego) and Tyler Lopez (Winchester, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Compositions and methods comprising the use of polymerase-nucleotide conjugates for nucleic acid sequencing and analysis applications are described."

The patent was filed on June 8, 2020, under Application No. 16/895,999.
