US Patent Issued to ELECTRONICS FOR IMAGING on July 8 for "Flatbed printer with integrated creasing and cutting" (New Hampshire Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,350,928, issued on July 8, was assigned to ELECTRONICS FOR IMAGING INC. (Londonderry, N.H.).

"Flatbed printer with integrated creasing and cutting" was invented by Peter Heath (Alexandria, N.H.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Embodiments of the invention add a cutting tool and a creasing wheel to a flatbed printer. This reduces workflow steps, allows cutting and creasing without having to re-register image/media, and reduces required floor space for small shops."

The patent was filed on Jan. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/154,738.
