ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,294,684, issued on May 6, was assigned to ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE (Daejeon, South Korea).

"Method for encoding immersive image and method for decoding immersive image" was invented by Gwang-Soon Lee (Daejeon, South Korea), Hong-Chang Shin (Daejeon, South Korea) and Jun-Young Jeong (Daejeon, South Korea).
