ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,416,987, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to ELAN MICROELECTRONICS Corp. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).
"Touchpad with a force sensing function and resistive pressure sensor thereof" was invented by Pin-Jung Chung (Taoyuan, Taiwan), Tien-Wen Pao (Zhubei, Taiwan), Ching-Shoung Chang (Taipei, Taiwan), Shun-Chieh Wu (New Taipei, Taiwan), En-Hsiao Liao (Taipei, Taiwan) and Yu Chiang (Taoyuan, Taiwan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A touchpad with a force sensing function and resistive pressure sensor thereof are disclosed. The resistive pressure sensor has a circuit board and a Wheatstone bridge circuit mounted on a deformation zone of the circuit board...
