ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,301,232, issued on May 13, was assigned to EFINIX INC. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"FPGA inter-tile control signal sharing" was invented by Marcel Gort (Toronto) and Brett Grady (Toronto).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and apparatuses to provide FPGA inter-tile control signal sharing are described. In one embodiment, the FPGA inter-tile muxing for control signals is added in a separate tile. In another embodiment, the control signal muxing is distributed among FPGA tiles and shared using a cascaded configuration."
The patent was filed on Sept. 19, 2023, under Application No. 18/370,356.
