US Patent Issued to Ecolab USA on March 4 for "Synthetic lubricity additives for hydrocarbon fuels" (Illinois, Texas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,241,034, issued on March 4, was assigned to Ecolab USA Inc. (St. Paul, Minn.).

"Synthetic lubricity additives for hydrocarbon fuels" was invented by Ashish Dhawan (Aurora, Ill.), Nestor U. Soriano Jr. (Missouri City, Texas) and Karina Eureste (Houston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Lubricity additives for fuels compositions are provided which are hydrocarbyl-containing oxygenated polyamines according to Formula I:wherein one or more of -R1, -R2, -R3, and -R4 is a carbon- and oxygen-containing group including a hydrophobic hydrocarbyl portion."

The patent was filed on Sept. 8, 2023, under Application No. 18/243,984.
