US Patent Issued to Eaton Intelligent Power on Aug. 19 for "Low profile high current coupled winding electromagnetic component" (Chinese, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,394,554, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Eaton Intelligent Power Ltd. (Dublin).

"Low profile high current coupled winding electromagnetic component" was invented by Yipeng Yan (Pleasanton, Calif.), Dengyan Zhou (Shanghai) and Tingjun Zhou (Shanghai).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A low profile surface mount electromagnetic component for multi-phase electrical power circuitry implemented on a circuit board includes a magnetic core structure and at least one dual-winding arrangement including windings of different thickness but each including an elongated planar main winding section extending linearly across the magnetic core structure. ...
