ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,435,238, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Eastman Chemical Co. (Kingsport, Tenn.).

"Thermosetting coating composition with improved scratch resistance" was invented by Jianhui Zhou (Kingsport, Tenn.) and Stacey James Marsh (Church Hill, Tenn.).
