ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,264,230, issued on April 1, was assigned to Eastman Chemical Co. (Kingsport, Tenn.).

"Cyclohexane dicarboxylate mixed ester compositions useful as plasticizers" was invented by Joseph Alexander DeLoach (Jonesborough, Tenn.), Curtis Louis Schilling III (Kingsport, Tenn.) and Thomas John Markley (Kingsport, Tenn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present application discloses novel cyclohexane dicarboxylate mixed esters of formula I: wherein R1, R2, and n are defined herein. The mixed esters are useful as plasticizers. The application also discloses resin compositions comprising the cyclohexane dicarboxylate mixed esters of formula I."
