US Patent Issued to EAST COAST DYES on Sept. 30 for "Graphene enhanced lacrosse shaft" (Maryland, Ohio Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,427,385, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to EAST COAST DYES INC. (Towson, Md.).

"Graphene enhanced lacrosse shaft" was invented by Hamilton Sean Michael Whitney (Baltimore), Gregory Lee Kenneally (Lutherville, Md.), Chia-Jen Hsu (Dayton, Ohio), Bor Z. Jang (Dayton, Ohio) and Aruna Zhamu (Dayton, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Lacrosse shafts are provided that include graphene. The graphene increases the durability of the lacrosse shafts. Also provided is equipment for other contact sports that include graphene to increase durability."

The patent was filed on Dec. 8, 2023, under Application No. 18/533,924.
