According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a valve capable of reliably blocking a gap between a valve body and a valve seat at least in a valve closed state. A valve includes a valve seat and a valve body, wherein the valve body and the valve seat are apart from each other at a radial gap and are arranged to be relatively movable in a reciprocating manner and an elastically deformable annular sealing body extends from one of the valve body and the valve seat so as to seal the gap."
