ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,990, issued on April 29, was assigned to E. LEET WOODWORKING LLC (Plainwell, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fastener system for quick and easy assembly of an article of slatted furniture is used to join multiple slats and connects a support thereto. A flange inserted into one of the slats receives a stud connected to the support. A rod connects a plurality the slats, and mates with the flange. The flange and rod are rotatable within the slats to properly position and tighten the fastener system."
