ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,428,631, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Duke University (Durham, N.C.).

"CRISPR/Cas9-based repressors for silencing gene targets in vivo and methods of use" was invented by Charles A. Gersbach (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Pratiksha I. Thakore (Durham, N.C.).
