ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,018, issued on May 13, was assigned to Duke University (Durham, N.C.).
"Albumin binding peptide-drug (AlBiPeD) conjugates and methods of making and using same" was invented by Ashutosh Chilkoti (Durham, N.C.) and Parisa Yousefpour (Durham, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are albumin binding peptide drug (AlBiPeD) conjugates comprising a small molecule linked to an albumin binding domain (ABD) via a pH-sensitive linker and methods of purifying and using the same."
The patent was filed on Jan. 25, 2019, under Application No. 16/964,832.
