ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,308, issued on March 25, was assigned to Duke University (Durham, N.C.).
"Stimuli-responsive PEG-like polymer-based drug delivery platform" was invented by Ashutosh Chilkoti (Durham, N.C.) and Imran Ozer (Durham, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are thermally responsive polymer-therapeutic molecule conjugates comprising a therapeutic molecule conjugated to a thermally responsive polymer with an acrylate, methacrylate, acrylamide, and/or methacrylamide backbone and a plurality of oligoethylene glycol side chains."
