ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,337,174, issued on June 24, was assigned to DUKE UNIVERSITY (Durham, N.C.).

"State-dependent pudendal nerve stimulation for bladder control" was invented by Warren M. Grill (Chapel Hill, N.C.), James A. Hokanson (Morrisville, N.C.) and Christopher L. Langdale (Apex, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides a device for state-dependent pudendal nerve stimulation for bladder control in a subject and methods of making and using the same."

The patent was filed on Jan. 12, 2024, under Application No. 18/411,486.
